Happy Chinese New Year’s Eve, everyone! Sydney’s weather has been quite gloomy recently. When the sky finally clears up, I have to do a quick outfit post, and of course – take my new lace-up shoes addition out for a walk!
As much as I love funky prints and bold colour items, deep down I am a girl-in-black. I fill my wardrobe with black more than anything else. Shoes, bags, jackets, t-shirts, skirts, LBDsssss, you name it and I will have it (plus N times more). Black is such a great canvas to show off your accessories – in this case – a pair of quirky silver heels.
Growing up as a girl who likes her basketball more than her makeup (I didn’t buy my first makeup set till I was 19…), I always have a soft spot for the Sports Luxe trend. I wish there were such a thing in my teenage years, so that I would have enjoyed wearing my athletic gear but still feel feminie. God bless those designers who incorporate mesh and jersey into daily wear. With a couple simple styling tricks, we can finally rock that comfy sweater dress whenever we want.
It was my birthday a while ago. For some reason, I have totally forgotten about doing my birthday dress hunt earlier (classic procrastinator). Luckily, The Iconic has come to rescue and delivered this dress on my birthday morning.

As life is quite busy these days, I rely heavily on pieces that can take me from desk to cocktails to shorten my morning routine. A couple days ago, I needed to see a client for a quick coffee meeting in the afternoon and attended a cocktail party for work afterwards. Knowing that I would be surrounded by a lot of people from the fashion industry in the party, I wanted to wear something that would make me feel chic yet powerful.
