Last week I sent this message to Mr. D via WhatsApp: `there is a new Yum Cha place in Newtown’, and I immediately received a whole bunch of googly eyes emoji from him. Steaming dumplings, crispy little fried goodies, and copious amount of tea. Who wouldn’t be happy?
To be frank, I struggled quite a bit before I started writing this blog post. My fellow Sydney-based foodies will understand what I am talking about – what can I possibly tell you about Black Star Pastry that you haven’t read about in a gazillion blogs and reviews? It is one of the most famous patisserie joints in Sydney after all. Hey, but if your recently-turned Sydneysider friend dragged you back to the same place within a week after her first visit, it deserves a post. So here are some tasties we have chowed down at Black Star Pastry.
Hey guys! Hope all is well with your week so far! For those fashionistas in Sydney, I know you will probably be heading to the CBD tonight for Vogue Fashion’s Night Out. But what about getting a quick bite at Newtown before your shopping spree? Click ahead, and settle that grumble in your stomach with some wallet-friendly Vietnamese tasties. Save the extra cash for those trendy finds on sale tonight – seriously!
Nothing says a lazy day like comfort-food delivery. The other day Mr. D was craving for some Chinese takeaway but unfortunately there wasn’t many Chinese restaurants do delivery in our neighbourhood (Very strange, I know). So we headed to Newtown to try our luck, and decided to go with Dumpling King.
