It took me a little longer (ok, a lot longer) to get settled in my new place and get back to blogging (think not having Internet for over three weeks thanks to NBN). But here I am, sharing some of my current favourites with you all whilst watching the Olympic Games in the comfort of my own home. 😛
We had experienced quite a drastic drop in temperature here in Sydney last week. It almost felt like Sydney has skipped Autumn this year and went directly into Winter this year! That being said, I still managed to dash out one last fall-ish outfit two weeks ago to catch a fashion show at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia Weekend Edition.
I love restyling old items to create new outfits. This top and skirt have been worn separately for numerous times but when paired together they create an interesting stripe on stripe effect.
Happy International Women’s Day, everyone! To be honest, I can’t even remember when the last time I wore sneakers for non-fitness activities was. Since I was trying to motivate myself to walk more (hello, Fitbit goal 10,000 steps a day), I went on a quest to find chic and comfy sneakers. And I found Superga.
A lot of you know about the tradition of wearing red on Chinese New Year. Since red is not really my colour, I picked something bright instead.
I don’t know about you but I absolutely hate rainy days. Wake up, roll over, and the next thing I notice is a big rain cloud coming towards my direction? That’s almost like an omen to me. Why even bother to wake up and get dressed? But no, it’s still time to get up. Instead of reaching for the leggings and oversized T-shirt dress, this time I have come around and decided to make the most of a bad-weather day. Ahead are some of my styling hacks when the rain hits.
It is no secret that I love full midi skirts. They are so classy, they are so flattering, and they are so Mad Men! Ok, maybe I have gone a little too far. But the point is you just can’t really go wrong with a full midi skirt, not with a black one.
Wow, I can’t believe I haven’t been updating my blog for over a month! To ease myself into writing again after almost two months of madness (and laziness), I’d like to start with a quick update before tackling the photos galore from Fashion Week Australia (which took place in mid-April…).
Happy Belated Chinese New Year! Today’s the seventh day of Chinese New Year, and it’s supposed to be the common birthday of all human beings in Chinese culture. So Happy Birthday everyone! One of the biggest traditions for Chinese New Year is to wear red but it’s just so not my colour…Instead of turning myself into a red packet, I opted for something orange for the holiday.
