I love wearing maxi dresses in warmer seasons. They are easy to throw-on-and-go, they are super comfortable, and they make you feel glam without looking like you have tried too hard. #IWokeUpLikeThis, anyone? And this navy number from H&M is the latest addition to my maxi line-up.
Sydneysiders would have noticed the purple bloom of Jacaranda is in full swing at the moment. The weather might have been rainy all week, but that didn’t stop the city from being awash by these bright purple patches. And the profusion of the flowers inspired me to build today’s outfit!
I don’t know about you but I absolutely hate rainy days. Wake up, roll over, and the next thing I notice is a big rain cloud coming towards my direction? That’s almost like an omen to me. Why even bother to wake up and get dressed? But no, it’s still time to get up. Instead of reaching for the leggings and oversized T-shirt dress, this time I have come around and decided to make the most of a bad-weather day. I have to admit I am pretty lucky. Mr. D has been very supportive with my blogging, and he tries to help me with outfit photos as much as possible. But still, there are days he isn’t around or isn’t feeling like picking up the camera. I am not much of a photographer, but I do have a very simple trick under my sleeves that can help me get a good #OOTD when flying solo.
Sometimes blogging can be quite a lonely process. It was lovely to meet all those talented ladies and gentlemen at the bloggers brunch in my last post. But for most of the times, I am a lone ranger in researching, developing blog post ideas, and writing. A while ago, I came across with an online community called Independent Fashion Bloggers (IFB) which intends to help fashion bloggers to share their experiences and creates resources for everyone to build a better blog.
Right now, the biggest trend for flats is lace-up pointy-toes. It doesn’t need me to say how those cute shoes from Aquazzura, Michael Kors, Jimmy Choo, and Tibi have been flooding magazine pages and our Instagram feeds. It’s the perfect hybrid of comfort and style! But for those who aren’t ready to splurge (or who want them in every single colour available), look no further, ahead are my review on these pretty lace-ups from Boden as well as a round-up on other affordable options out there.
