We had experienced quite a drastic drop in temperature here in Sydney last week. It almost felt like Sydney has skipped Autumn this year and went directly into Winter this year! That being said, I still managed to dash out one last fall-ish outfit two weeks ago to catch a fashion show at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia Weekend Edition.
It has been a while for me to do an outfit post. So here I am, sharing my favourite sartorial colour combo – black and white with you.
I have been wearing separates a lot this festive season versus I tended to rely heavily on one-pieces in the last couple years. The other day I wore this set of separates to attend a fashion show.
Happy Melbourne Cup Day! For those who are in Australia, are you heading to the racecourses today? Well, I am going to work. But there will be a Cup Day catch-up with a client as well as an office party, i.e. a work-appropriate Spring Racing outfit is needed!
I don’t know about you but I absolutely hate rainy days. Wake up, roll over, and the next thing I notice is a big rain cloud coming towards my direction? That’s almost like an omen to me. Why even bother to wake up and get dressed? But no, it’s still time to get up. Instead of reaching for the leggings and oversized T-shirt dress, this time I have come around and decided to make the most of a bad-weather day. Ahead are some of my styling hacks when the rain hits.
Flip through nearly every single magazine, fashion site and blog, you will find all sorts of culottes jumping off the pages (and screens). But somehow, I haven’t hopped on the culotte bandwagon till recently. They are chic, they are comfy, and they are tricky. This wide-legged pant style can be quite controversial – very polish or super mumsy (in a bad way). Ahead was my first attempt in styling these pants-of-the-season.
Sydney’s weather is capricious. Earlier this week I was wearing T-shirts and shorts, and the next thing I knew, it was windy days back in town. My sweaters are therefore working overtime at the moment before they can be put in the back of my closet for a good long rest till next year fall. To embrace this last chill in the air, I decided to re-style those cute polka dot heels from my last outfit post.
Sydney’s weather is very gloomy these days. Therefore, I tried to light up my mood by clashing some prints.
Wow, I can’t believe I haven’t been updating my blog for over a month! To ease myself into writing again after almost two months of madness (and laziness), I’d like to start with a quick update before tackling the photos galore from Fashion Week Australia (which took place in mid-April…).
Time flies! One second, we are celebrating the beginning of a new year; and the next, it is already the end of March! For those who are in Australia, can you believe autumn is already here? I always find this transitional period very difficult to figure out. Tank tops? Too cold. Jackets? Too hot. Ahead is how I fight this tricky season with items I have curated over the past couple months.
