Rimmel London Moisture Renew Sheer and Shine Lipsticks

tellmeyblog-rimmel-london-moisture-renew-sheer-and-shine-lipsticks-23There is no excuse but my own laziness to blame for the lack of updates on my blog in the past few months. When I look over my desk and see how much content is backlogged, I just want to flee the house but I can’t. A lot of these products deserve their dedicated reviews, just like these Rimmel London Moisture Renew Sheer & Shine Lipsticks I am going to talk about today.

I received all six shades of this range (RRP $13.95 ea) to review a few months ago, and the second I started doing some quick swatches I knew they would be perfect for spring. I surely didn’t think I would have procrastinated in posting the review for this long till it’s actually spring here in Australia, but I hope it might give you some ideas to refresh your spring makeup game.

The six colours from top to bottom are:
#100 – Woke Up Like This
#200 – Glow-rious Pink
#300 – Pink Rules
#500 – Red-y, Set, Go!
#600 – Spin All Spring
#700 – Better & Brighter

#100 Woke Up Like This is a very sheer nude shade with a tinge of light pink. It makes me look very pale but it will look great on someone with fair skin.

If you are looking for a natural pink lip look, #200 Glow-rious Pink is the perfect tube for you. It delivers a soft and beautiful petal pink that yells spring without being over the top. Definitely something you can wear day in and day out.

#300 Pink Rules is a gorgeous, bold magenta pink that creates just the right amount of drama. Apply it with the first two lippies, and you will get that perfect petal lip look Asian girls are crazy about. 😉

I love orange lippies. Throw in the element of a classic red tube? Count me in times 10 please! #500 Red-y, Set, Go! is the love child of a classic red and a bold orange lippies. The colour is super flattering on different skin tones!

#600 Spin All Spring is a lovely light peach hue which is another great day-to-day colour to wear, especially for those who prefer coral tones.

#700 Better & Brighter is a deeper, brown-toned nude. It compliments my skin tone much better than #100 Woke Up Like This.

Just as the name of the range suggests, the lipsticks offer a sheer and moisturised finish which I think is perfect for the warmer months. The formula is packed with Vitamins A, C, and E, making the lipsticks very comfortable to wear all day.

What I like about this range is that it comes with a SPF 20 UV protection. It’s not much but it already offers much more protection than most of your other lippies.

*Thanks Rimmel London AU for providing the product sample, but the opinions is mine as always.
