We had experienced quite a drastic drop in temperature here in Sydney last week. It almost felt like Sydney has skipped Autumn this year and went directly into Winter this year! That being said, I still managed to dash out one last fall-ish outfit two weeks ago to catch a fashion show at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia Weekend Edition.
My love for the Australian label by johnny is not a secret. This midi skirt just proves how the designer has done it again. Sitting high on the waist, the skirt falls beautifully to give a voluminous silhouette.
The tucked fabric at the waist creates interesting contrast to the hemline while the exposure of the white under lining makes both the shape and print of the skirt pop. The skirt is made with a comfy thick crepe bonded fabric which gives extra volume to the dramatic shape. I love how it is striking and subtle at the same time, thanks to the polished monochrome print.
Black t-shirts are probably the most frequently worn items in my closet. God knows how many black t-shirts I own! Coming close second is my leather jacket. With the combo of the two, I am pretty much all set. Top it up with cool-toned accessories to ensure the ensemble is cohesive.
Here’s my first real stepping into colder months outfit this year. What would you be rocking this Winter?
