Phew, after a big weekend last week I am finally back to sit in front of my laptop and start updating my blog. For those who are in Australia, you have probably noticed Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia (MBFWA) had wrapped up for another year last Friday. This year MBFWA has changed their usual Spring/Summer showcase to Resort to reflect the warmer Australian climate. Although I failed to make it to the shows during MBFWA due to work commitment this year, I managed to go to Raffles College of Design and Commerce pop-up showroom launch at The Design Residency to talk to some of the most promising emerging designers in Australia about their resort collections.
Last time, we talked about skin brightening facial cleanser. Now it’s time to move onto the moisturiser. Click ahead and see what I have been using lately to achieve brighter and younger looking skin. 😉
When talked about skincare, Western and Asian girls have very different ideas. Western girls love to get a tan while a lot of Asian girls prefer to stay as fair as possible, hence whitening products sales are over the roof in Asia. But whitening is not all about staying fair, it’s also about brightening your skin and achieving a more even skin tone. Given we are stepping into winter here in Australia, it’s the perfect time to get our skin brightening game on!
As a beauty junkie, I always get asked by my girlfriends about how many beauty related machines I have at home for my face. The answer is one – a facial cleansing brush. I had a Clarisonic Mia 2 since it was launched in Australia several years ago. I loved the facial cleansing device but after numerous drops in the bathroom over the years it finally broke down a while ago. This was when PuraSonic approached me and I thought it was the perfect time to give this Aussie cleansing brush a go.
I like checking out op shops from time to time. I may not always find what I love but when I do it’s like hitting a jackpot, just like this tie waist knit dress I wore in today’s post.
What is a successful advertising campaign for makeup? It is when your man tells you he is seeing a particular cushion foundation everywhere and he knows exactly which brand it is (should I be worried?), and your girlfriends keep asking your opinion on the product, you know it’s time for you to succumb to the ad and get your hands on the product. Yes, I am talking about the L’Oreal Paris Nude Magique Cushion Foundation.
Life has been quite busy lately (you can probably tell from my messed up posting schedule). And getting sick as well as the crazy transitional weather certainly didn’t help keeping my skin look and feel healthy. This is when these three serums from Antipodes come to rescue.
Well, we may not be able to afford a tailor-made McQueen wedding dress like Kate Middleton did. But thanks to Priceline, we can certainly bring her hairdressing experience home with The Chelsea Collection by Richard Ward. Ahead is how you can pull a couple `rich girl hair’ moments like Kate in the comfort of your own home!
