Since my work place has moved to a new office, I have been doing more walking these days. While I tend to pair these print sneakers with black or solid colour items to commute, today I would like to mix them with other prints.
These sneakers are from the collaboration between Adidas Originals and British style icon Rita Ora. The soft, satin like upper features a multi-colour yet elegant print that is reminiscent of kimonos. I have been eyeing on these for quite a while but didn’t pull the trigger till two weeks ago.
On top of the super cool look, these sneakers are very lightweight and comfortable to wear, perfect for city strolling and commuting. Fit-wise, I am wearing a US6 or EU 37 1/3 with a pair of cotton socks comfortably here. I am so glad that I didn’t wait any longer as these babies start to run out of smaller sizes now.
The all-over kimono-inspired print might seem to be intimidating. But since it contains so many different colours, all you need to do is to pull one or two colours to form the basis of your prints mixing. Here I picked blue (as always) and threw the blue houndstooth bomber into the mix. The white striped dress added another print to the outfit but also acted as a buffer to break up the two loud prints from the jacket and the sneakers.
Do you like wearing print sneakers? How would you style them?
