You probably all know I am a fan of The Body Shop by now. From the lovely woody Italian Summer Fig and subtle floral Fijian Water Lotus, to delicious Strawberry and cult classic Mango, I have basically tried them all and my bathroom is currently featuring the Pink Grapefruit Shower Gel and Body Sorbet.
I have tried the Pink Grapefruit Shower Gel (RRP $10.95) years ago and found it to be a very sweet yet citrusy scent. However, the reason I went back to this range is because of the Body Sorbet (RRP $19.95).
Sydney’s weather is capricious. Although we are experiencing the transitional period to fall, we still get some crazy hot days that you will want nothing but an ice-cream. Therefore, one of The Body Shop’s staff recommended the body sorbet to me when I was looking for body and care products in store the other day.
Unlike their classic body butter or body lotion, the body sorbet is of a much lighter texture. The lightweight texture also means its fragrance is more subtle than their other moisturisers.
Infused with aloe vera, I found the body sorbet to be quite soothing on hotter days. It is very fast absorbing and won’t leave a single trace of moisturiser on your skin. Another trick I picked up from the staff is to store it in the fridge to ensure a more refreshing sensation.
I even had Mr. D try it. He loves it so much that I had to go back and get him a Fuji Green Tea Body Sorbet so he doesn’t smell like a girl!
The shower gel is soap-free, lather-rich, and infused with honey. Apply the body sorbet after shower to build on that invigorating citrusy scent. You know the drill.
While the pink grapefruit duo compliments each other really well, the body sorbet is the one that stands out. It is perfect for the summer (yes, I am talking to those who are in the Northern Hemisphere) and the occasion hot days here in Sydney now.
Have you tried the Body Sorbet yet? Do you like it?
