Antipodes Kiwi Seed Oil Eye Cream and Lip Conditioner Review

tellmeyblog - antipodes kiwi seed oil eye cream and lip conditioner_01Ok, kiwi is a yummy superfruit but what about its seeds? Did you know that kiwi seed oil is full of natural skincare goodness (hello, alpha-linolenic acid and Vitamins)? Today, I am going to walk you through two lovely kiwi seed oil infused products from a Kiwi brand, Antipodes.

Antipodes is a New Zealand beauty brand that specialises in organic and natural skincare and makeup. They are most famous for using ingredients from New Zealand nature like kiwis and manuka honey in their products. I was very lucky to receive their award-winning Kiwi Seed Oil Eye Cream and their new Kiwi Seed Oil Lip Conditioner to review.

Our eyes and lips are the two most delicate parts on our faces. They are also the tell-tale signs of a bad skin day (fine lines around the eyes and flaky lips, need I name more?). Luckily, these two products are equipped with what it takes to tackle these problems.

The key ingredient in this duo is kiwi seed oil, which is a rich source of Vitamins C and E. Not only does kiwi seed oil contain around 60% of alpha linolenic acid (ALA), but it also comes with a high concentration of Omega that helps to maintain moisture in the skin.

I don’t really have fine lines or dark circles around my eyes but I do stare at my computer and phone all day, which is known to be one of the most prominent contributing factors to signs of ageing around the eye area.

The eye cream itself is light and easy to absorb. Dab a little under your eye and on your eye lids and gently massage it in. Puffy eyes, gone!

On top of the magical kiwi seed oil, the eye cream also features carrot seed oil, aloe gel, pure avocado oil and native New Zealand manuka flower, making the product a cooling and soothing treatment to the eyes.

It is also scientifically shown to stimulate a synthesis of collagen production, perfect for addressing skin damage or even preventing signs of ageing to appear.

Moving on to the Kiwi Seed Oil Lip Conditioner, I absolutely adore its packaging! The matte black tube is scratch-resistant, and makes it look professional.

And how cool is that print on the top?

Just like its counterpart in the eye department, the Kiwi Seed Oil Lip Conditioner comes with all the kiwi seed oil and avocado oil goodness. I love how it moisturises your lips without leaving a layer of grease.

I have been wearing it a lot lately, especially as a primer before applying lipsticks. No one wants dry and chapped lips but at the same time you don’t want your lip balm to be too greasy that your lippie won’t show! This lip conditioner provides your lippie an optimum base to work on.

Kiwi Seed Oil Eye Cream (RRP $49.00) is stocked at David Jones and Priceline Pharmacy while Kiwi Seed Oil Lip Conditioner (RRP $19.50) will be available at David Jones and Priceline Pharmacy this month.

*Thanks Antipodes for providing the product sample, but the opinions is mine as always.

    • Thank you, Gemma! I have no idea about all the nutritious values of kiwi seeds either till I have come across with these two products. But so far they seem to work on my face. So I am going to stick to them for the moment! xx
