Happy International Women’s Day, everyone! To be honest, I can’t even remember when the last time I wore sneakers for non-fitness activities was. Since I was trying to motivate myself to walk more (hello, Fitbit goal 10,000 steps a day), I went on a quest to find chic and comfy sneakers. And I found Superga.
I don’t think it needs much explanation how Superga is a must-have for fashion lovers. The Italian brand has been making sneakers with vulcanised rubber soles since 1911, and its effortless cool charm simply sweeps off many fashionistas’ feet.
This time, I went with their most classic style – 2750 sneakers. But instead of the classic solid colour canvas, I opt for a coated snake print canvas version which I find to work well with both plain outfits and prints.
I usually wear EU 37 or US 7, and I am wearing EU 37 (US 6.5 as it labels on the shoe box) here. With a pair of thin cotton socks, these babies fit perfectly but I can still walk comfortably in them without any socks. So I will say the 2750 style runs roughly half a size bigger.
For a more modern vibe and a bit less Betty Draper, I paired my yet another print full midi skirt (also wore the green version here) with these Superga sneakers and a metallic rose gold satchel for today’s look. I haven’t been doing any sneaker style outfit for ages, so this combo is quite refreshing to me.
Are you into sneakers? What other sneaker brands/styles you would suggest me to look at?
