Hi everyone! I have received the information about Rimmel’s London Look Contest a month ago and thought it could be quite fun to do a make-up tutorial post. So here is my #LondonLookAU, and please don’t forget to vote for me here! 😉
It’s in the middle of summer here in Australia, so I want to create a daytime #LondonLookAU that is natural and wearable with a pop of colour.
Here are the Rimmel London products I have used to create the look:
– Match Perfection Foundation – #200 Soft Beige and #203 True Beige (reviewed here)
– Fix & Protect Makeup Primer (reviewed here)
– Brow This Way Eyebrow Sculpting Kit – #003 Dark Brown (reviewed here)
– Brow This Way Eyebrow Gel – #002 Medium Brown (reviewed here)
– 24HR Supercurler Volume & Curl Mascara (reviewed here)
– Oh My Gloss! Lip Gloss – #500 Ooh La La (reviewed here)
Without further ado, let’s get this make-up party started!
Apply a thin layer of Rimmel London Fix & Protect Makeup Primer evenly on face.
Apply a thin layer of Match Perfection Foundation #200 Soft Beige on face. Then put a dab of Match Perfection Foundation #203 True Beige on where you would usually like to contour, i.e. the two sides of your nose, right below your cheekbones, and your jawline. Blend in the foundation with your fingers.
For those who have a different skin tone, replace #200 Soft Beige and #203 True Beige with your match from the Match Perfection Foundation range and a shade darker respectively.
Apply a thin layer of nude shade eyeshadow on eyelids to create a clean and brightened canvas for the following eye makeup.
Apply black eyeliner to your upper inner rim, then draw a thin eyeline from 2/3 of your upper lashline to the outer edges. Slightly thicken the line when it is getting closer to the outer edges. Lightly dust a dark brown eyeshadow on top to hold the liner in place, and smudge the eyeshadow a little with your brush to give your eyes extra dimensions.
Curl eyelashes with an eyelash curler. Put on some natural-looking fake lashes (forget those crazily thick and long fake lashes), and apply a layer of 24HR Supercurler Volume & Curl Mascara to hold both the real and fake lashes together.
For those who have long lashes, feel free to skip the fake lashes and apply the mascara directly.
Use the setting powder of Brow This Way Eyebrow Sculpting Kit to extend the end of your brows as well as filling in some sparse areas. Then use Brow This Way Eyebrow Gel to set the powder in as well as to create a fuller brow look.
Draw a thin eyeline from 2/3 of your lower lashline to the outer edges and make sure you connect it with your upper liner. Lightly dust a dark brown eyeshadow on top to hold the liner in place, and smudge the eyeshadow a little with your brush.
Apply a coral colour blush gently from the apples of your cheeks towards the temples.
Apply contouring powder at where you have contoured with the darker shade foundation in Step 2 to set your face makeup in.
Apply Oh My Gloss! Lip Gloss – #500 Ooh La La from the centre of your lips and drag the sponge applicator along the length of the lips.
This is the first time I entered a makeup competition, and I truly like this natural daytime look with a pop of juicy pouts. Thanks so much for reading, and please vote for me here!
