I love comfort food, and burger is definitely high on my favourite comfort food list. Last Sunday I went to Burger 10 with a friend for some girly catch-up time.
Burger 10 has a really interesting concept: 10 burgers, 10 countries. They claim to use 100% Australian produce and deliver the world’s best 10 burgers. The menu is quite straight forward – 10 speciality burgers to represent 10 countries.
My friend went with the Italian Burger – Smoked Chicken Thigh Burger (AUD $11.50). It came with a thyme and lemon scented smoked chicken thigh fillet, beetroot, rocket and fennel aioli. It was quite tasty according to her.
As a beef lover, I took the Aussie Burger (AUD $12.90), which was a Braised Beef Burger with chunks of red wine braised grass fed beef, ham, mushrooms, sauerkraut, rocket with roasted garlic cheese sauce. The braised beef was super juicy, definitely a burger you shouldn’t be ordering if you are on a date! And oh boy, Burger 10 certainly wasn’t stingy with its meat. Every bite I took, I had chunks of beef slipped onto my plate! In fact, the burger was so meaty that I felt like I would like to see some more veggies in it. That being said, it was still a pretty yummy burger.
We girls also shared a side of Cajun Spiced Smoked Crispy Potato with Bacon & Cheese Sauce (AUD $7.50). The Cajun Fries was flavourful but nothing really spectacular.
Burger 10 is such a cute little burger joint in the neighbourhood, and I can see a lot of potential in it. I just wish they have more interesting choices for soda. But overall, we were happy with what we got from them.
