These 3 Beauty Buys Will Make You a Nude Makeup Guru

DSC09606As a beauty addict, I am constantly searching for the next bold, fun and innovative eyeshadow palette or lippie. However, when it comes to my face, I like to keep it to a bare minimum. A face makeup product that smoothes my skin out, evens my skin tone, and leaves me nothing but a naturally glowing face is like meeting Mr Right. Here are my three perfect matches in the non-foundation department that have truly upped my makeup game (as well as efficiency).

Ultraceuticals Complete Correction Cream Mineral Tint
An all-in-one skin protector that conceals blemishes and hydrates my skin? Yes, yes, and yes! This bad boy is created by Aussie leading cosmeceutical brand, Ultraceuticals.  I felt in love with it the first time I put it on! This lightweight mineral CC Cream provides reasonable coverage to imperfections with a demi matte finish, leaving me a flawless complexion.

Its formula combines Ultraceuticals unique B2 hydrating technology, Vitamins B3 and E, and peptides to moisturise and boost radiance in your skin. It also comes with SPF 30 to protect you from the sun. What’s even better is this CC Cream is preservatives, fragrances and parabens free, and is not tested on animals!

For RRP $59, it may not be the cheapest CC Cream in the market, but I can really see the value to incorporate it into my morning makeup routine. For the ladies who want a more impeccable result, simply dab your makeup brush into their CC Powder Pure Mineral Foundation (RRP $69) for a swirl, and buff your skin in a circular motion. It will take your skin from day to night.

Maybelline Dream Pure 8-in-1 BB Cream
Say hello to this pharmacy wonder. Its oil-free and non-greasy formula is specially designed for those with oily skin. It contains Vitamins A, B and E for soothing, as well as a SPF 15 for sun protection.  I usually use it for hotter days for oil control. What I really like about this BB cream is how it minimises the appearance of pores in no time. The 2% salicylic acid in it comes in handy on a day I need to combat blemishes. And for RRP $15.95, you really can’t beat it.

shu uemura POREraser UV Under Base Mousse
shu uemura POREraser (RRP $48) is a lightweight makeup base. It serves as a primer that minimises pores and provides maximum coverage. It is infused with skincare ingredients to control sebum for an optical pore-less effect. This face makeup superstar also comes with SPF 25 PA +++. shu uemura has launched the POREraser CC Mousse earlier this year, and I am keen to try it after finishing this makeup base mousse.

Have you tried any of these products? Do you prefer a BB Cream, CC Cream or a foundation?

    • Thanks for sharing! It depends on the day. The Ultraceuticals one is my go-to. But I like to use the Maybelline one when I have a pimple. And I use the shu uemura one on days I don’t even feel like having BB/CC Cream on. 😉
