Double Tassels: Embroidered Maxi Dress and Suede Clutch

DSC09390 (2)I love wearing maxi dresses in warmer seasons. They are easy to throw-on-and-go, they are super comfortable, and they make you feel glam without looking like you have tried too hard. #IWokeUpLikeThis, anyone? And this navy number from H&M is the latest addition to my maxi line-up.

I haven’t worn anything with folk-style embroidery or remotely boho for a long time, but somehow this one has caught my eyes. So I picked it up (along with a bagful of clothes) and headed to the fitting room.

The second I put it on, I knew I had to get it. It is as cosy as my PJs, and it hangs beautifully on me. As a busty girl, I usually shy away from undefined waistline dresses. But this one strikes the perfect balance between body skimming and the A-line shape. I can see it being worn to the beach, a barbecue, a lunch date, a romantic dinner, and all sorts of other occasions!

Size-wise, I am 160-cm tall and I am wearing a size M here. The hem hits me a little bit above my ankle so taller girls may find this dress on the shorter side.

For an afternoon stroll in the park, I picked a pair of blue mirror lens sunnies as well as some black and silver tone accessories to stick to the colour scheme. The overall look is boho but it’s still me.

    • Thanks Vicky! I found maxi dresses to be quite an easy cheat during warmer seasons. They are kind of my throw-on-and-go type of outfits. And you should totally check out H&M as I have seen quite a lot of cute (and petite friendly) options last time I was there. 🙂
