Gloomy Floral: Jacaranda and Print Crop Top

DSC09344Sydneysiders would have noticed the purple bloom of Jacaranda is in full swing at the moment. The weather might have been rainy all week, but that didn’t stop the city from being awash by these bright purple patches. And the profusion of the flowers inspired me to build today’s outfit!

Comfy culottes are great for weekend errand-running. The key to keep them from looking too mumsy is to style them with modern elements. Athleisure bucket bag, borrow-from-the-boys type of flatforms, crop top…these are the type of items that will help you rock this culotte trend in a 2015 way.

The Jacaranda has showered the streets with purple and inspired me to throw this floral print crop top into the mix. It adds a dash of colour to this otherwise very monotone combo. Look who’s matchy-matchy with Mother Nature now? 😉

    • Thank you so much for your kind words. I found blogging helps me get out of my sartorial comfort zone. I would have never worn something like those culottes a couple years back. 😛
