How to Stay Stylish on Rainy Days

DSC08907I don’t know about you but I absolutely hate rainy days. Wake up, roll over, and the next thing I notice is a big rain cloud coming towards my direction? That’s almost like an omen to me. Why even bother to wake up and get dressed? But no, it’s still time to get up. Instead of reaching for the leggings and oversized T-shirt dress, this time I have come around and decided to make the most of a bad-weather day. Ahead are some of my styling hacks when the rain hits.

Prints
The weather is gloomy enough. Why not brightening up the mood with an interesting print? This top is made in a scuba like material, which is perfect for this drippy weather. Pair it with a scuba midi skirt, and I am ready for my next singing in the rain moment!

Crossbody Bag
Sure, a work tote is great and a clutch is stylish. But when it comes to a downpour, nothing works better than a sleek crossbody. Not only will it keep all your belongings dry, but it also frees up your hand for the umbrella. Just think about how much easier it will be when you are rushing to catch the bus or train.

Waterproof Shoes
You don’t have to sacrifice style in your shoe game just because the weather is miserable. A pair of cute rain heels like these ones from Melissa will keep your feet dry from the puddles. So let’s take this bad-weather mix-and-matching – one step at a time.

    • Thanks so much for your kind words, Nina! I was actually wearing a top and a skirt in this post. But I guess the colours of the two items just worked really well together and fooled the eyes. 😉

    • My place is way too messy for a home tour post. Yes, and these shoes are really water proof. I bought them a while ago after days of heavy rain in Sydney and I decided to cheer myself up a little with some cute rain gear. 😛
