As life is quite busy these days, I rely heavily on pieces that can take me from desk to cocktails to shorten my morning routine. A couple days ago, I needed to see a client for a quick coffee meeting in the afternoon and attended a cocktail party for work afterwards. Knowing that I would be surrounded by a lot of people from the fashion industry in the party, I wanted to wear something that would make me feel chic yet powerful.
My closet is packed with all sorts of blazers but this blazer dress from Zalora somehow still caught my eyes. I love how its hem is angled asymmetrically, giving the dress a more interesting shape. The pre-rolled up ¾ sleeves also make it perfect for lazy girls like me. No more rolled-up-sleeves-keep-falling-off or I-don’t-know-how-to-roll-up-my-sleeves-fashionably type of hassle!
I ordered a size M for this dress and it fits like a nicely oversized boyfriend jacket. For those who prefer a snugger fit, you may want to size down.
It was interesting to see how Mr. D automatically picked up the camera and asked me for a couple quick shots while I was rushing out the door that day. Judging by his response, I feel like I should place my order on the other colours of this dress too!
