CNY’s Orange: Midi Skirt and Crop Top

DSC05076Happy Belated Chinese New Year! Today’s the seventh day of Chinese New Year, and it’s supposed to be the common birthday of all human beings in Chinese culture. So Happy Birthday everyone! One of the biggest traditions for Chinese New Year is to wear red but it’s just so not my colour…Instead of turning myself into a red packet, I opted for something orange for the holiday.

This orange full midi skirt is the main range version of my light blue one from ASOS Petite. Both skirts are unlined and made with a nice mid-weight scuba material, but the orange one feels silkier and stretchier.

I’m wearing AU/UK 8 here and the waist measures 64 cm/25” around, which is the same as the AU/UK 10 of the petite one. The major difference in sizing is that my petite one is 63 cm long and this one is 65 cm long.

In my humble opinion, the petite one looks better on a 160-cm build like mine. But with some high heels, it shouldn’t be much of a problem for petite ladies to try the main range one.

What Did I Wear

Top / Factorie
Skirt / ASOS (also available in petite range)
Booties / Cooperative
Bag / Coach (Vintage)
Sunnies / Quay
Necklace / Weekday
Watch / Marc by Marc Jacobs
Bracelets / Fitbit Flex, Mantraband
