How to Keep Your Party Dresses Alive after the Holidays

PhotoGrid_1420961082628The holidays are over but our holiday mood is not. The champagne glasses might have been packed away but there is no need to ditch our party dresses. What if we can restyle these items and secretly extend that holiday spirit just a little longer? As much as we girls love to get new “occasion outfits” for different parties, we did put in a lot of effort in picking these cute numbers in the first place. Ahead is how I double my Christmas dress as a dress and a top.

This floral print dress was a last-minute order from The Iconic, and I wore it to the family’s Christmas party. It has a relaxed A-line cut which makes it perfect for hot summer days.

Playing with the blue tones, I paired it with a light blue scuba skater skirt and some royal blue pointy heels. You can also pair your other shorter dresses with fuller skirts to get a couple more wears out of them. Now the dress looks appropriate even when I am not in a beach!

The second look I created is slightly dressier than the first one. Which one do you like better and what are your tricks in restyling holiday items?
