Happy Tuesday everyone! Yesterday was Mid-Autumn Festival, and as always, I never remembered to get mooncakes in advance. So Mr. D and I decided to do a last minute snowy mooncakes hunt. As it involved quite a bit of walking, I immediately fetched for my comfortable black and neutral staples.
I am a strong believer of “black is the new black”. Therefore, my closet is full of basic items in black. I got this circular skater skirt from H&M on a recent trip to Hong Kong for less than AUD 20 (also available in Australia and other countries). The cut is very flattering on different body types, and you just can’t beat the comfort of a thick jersey material (which led me to get this in white as well). Pair it with a curve hugging black T-shirt, done!
To balance this feminie fit-and-flare silhouette, I topped it off with a boyfriend style coat and a pair of mirror lens sunglasses. These ASOS sunnies are currently on sale for less than $8, and they fit me surprisingly well! For those who would like to try the mirror lens trend, these could be a great start without breaking the bank. 😉
These are some of my go-to staples, and what are yours?
